Glycine
The simplest amino acid — a building block for collagen, creatine, and glutathione with calming neurological effects.
What It Is
Glycine is the most abundant amino acid in collagen (making up roughly one-third of its structure) and an important precursor for creatine, glutathione, and haem (the iron-carrying part of haemoglobin). It also acts as an inhibitory neurotransmitter in the central nervous system, contributing to its sleep-promoting and calming properties.
What It Does
- Structural component of collagen
- Precursor to glutathione and creatine
- Promotes restful sleep
- Supports cognitive function and memory
- Anti-inflammatory properties
